Circular Business Models come in many variations, but a service component is often key. It enables tracking and tracing of resources, which is essential if you aim to slow or close the resource loop.
♻️ Consider models such as Product-as-a-Service, Repair and Refurb, Subscription and Resource Recovery for Upcycling. IKEA successfully developed and commercialized a Buyback & Resell model.
During Circular Economy Week 2026 in the Netherlands, we will host a session, together with IKEA, to help you design your own Circular Service. In advance to this session, please feed your thoughts with some more excellent examples in the annex.
